SUMMER- everyone’s favourite time year. Summer is the season for rooftop patio drinks, amazing cottage weekends, lazy afternoons by the pool and of course backyard barbecues.
George House Events is electrifying everyone's favourite summer pastime by bringing you the “Backyard” Barbecue Party. Join us on Sunday July 29th at Track & Field Bar for an epic barbecue party! We will serving a classic barbecue fest, including burgers and sausages along with delicious sides! There will also be vegetarian options available.
Party goers will be able to partake in summer lawn games like Bocce Ball, Shuffleboard and Cornhole. The “Backyard” Barbecue Party will also feature signature cocktails and an amazing raffle table!

The "Backyard" Barbecue Party decided to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada with 100% of the proceeds going towards the organization. Cystic Fibrosis Canada is a non-profit charitable organization that works to find a cure or control for cystic fibrosis (CF).
CF is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults; however, there is no cure. Cystic fibrosis causes various effects on the body, but mainly affects the digestive system and lungs. The persistence and ongoing lung infections, with destruction of lungs and loss of lung function, eventually causes death in the majority of people who have cystic fibrosis.

It is estimated that one in every 3,600 children born in Canada has cystic fibrosis. Over 4,200 Canadian children, adolescents, and adults with cystic fibrosis attend specialized CF clinics.
​
Since its establishment in 1960, Cystic Fibrosis Canada has invested more than $244 million in research, innovation and care, which has led to Canadian living with cystic fibrosis having one of the highest median survival rates in the world.
